The Atlanta Blue Notes Big Band has performed in the metro area since the fall of 1987. During that time the band has played for groups of from 30 to over 1500 people, performing at most of the major hotel ballrooms and various civic arenas, service club and country club facilities, church meeting halls and nightclubs.
Wedding Receptions/Functions: While elegant swing dance music is our principal musical style, we also perform a wide variety of great music including latin rhythms, blues, ballads and enough rock to keep any audience on the dance floor and make your special day a real “highlight”.

Fundraising Ideas
Any non-profit organizations looking for new fundraising ideas, a big-band dinner/dance could be a novel way to raise money. Big-band music for dancing is almost non-existent in the commercial area and yet, a great number of people still enjoy this type of entertainment. With a little planning and promotion in your local community, an annual or semi-annual event could generate a significant amount of money without the hassels and excessive time requirements of other types of drives. Also, a big-band jazz concert is a way to continue the great tradition of “the Great American Songbook”.
Additional funds for the sponsoring organization could also be generated by using raffels, silent auctions, donations, beverage concessions, etc.
The band is very interested in helping promote events of this type and currently performs for several fundraisers each year. We would be happy to put your organization in contact with other groups who successfully arrange and promote dinner/dance evenings on a regular basis.
